Venomous Maximus is releasing their third full length album, No Warning,  on July 28, 2017, courtesy of Shadow Kingdom Records. This album has been two years in the making, since the drop of their last album in 2015. This Texas-based quartet is known for demolishing the mere thought that they should be limited to one genre.

Opening up with “I”, the band teases with a little instrumental intro before launching into “Spellbound”.  Starting out with groove-filled guitars and supporting drums, this is one you’ll want to sing along to. “Return of the Witch” is going to present a harder feel – harder hitting shredding and drums while telling you a tale of unrequited love. This is a melodic song you’re going to at least tap your toes to, if not more. “No Warning” introduces another different feel to the album – an almost Bowie-esque voice over an almost 80’s sounding instrumental backing. “Blood for Blood” is another song that is very catchy – it won’t be played on the pop station anytime soon by any means, but it will induce involuntary movement, so who cares what mainstream radio is doing. Wrapping the album up, “Sea of Sleep”, which has a dirty, slower beat to bring you back down to earth – when that bass kicks in, you’ll want to join in while your friend plays the air drums.

No Warning is melodic, it is well thought out, it is fun to listen to.  Venomous Maximus is a band that has mastered diversity, and has proven that their reputation for not being constricted to one genre is paying off – big time. This talented group of individuals is going to amaze you with a different sound in every song, holding your attention for the entire album. If you’re a fan of being entertained – yes, just plain entertained – this is an album you are going to want to pick up and listen to over and over.
