German death metal band Necrotted released their 3rd studio album Worldwide Warfare on October 27th.

I have to be honest, I’ve never listened to Necrotted before this album. What did I learn? I’m a disgrace to the metal community. So do yourself a favor, listen to the album hereWorldwide Warfare will without a doubt be the soundtrack to the apocalypse. This 10 track album is well rounded, persistent and executed flawlessly. It’s heavy but graceful, brutal yet beautiful.

Death metal with deathcore influences will forever hold a special place in my heart, and Necrotted uses said hybrid in technical ways that will make you question your existence even more than you already do. From the get go on track 1, Necrotted gifts you with the sweet sweet sound of blast beats and sheer power. Instrumentally, Worldwide Warfare doesn’t gift the listener with slow or clean toned bridges or outros. Who needs that when you have badass riffage and solos? Guitarists Johannes Wolf and Philipp Fink don’t have time for your clean toned BS, they forge nothing but overpowering, possessing guitar tracks.

In tracks such as “My Foray, Your Decay, Necrotted hand bathes you with breakdowns, (of course) but also the classic old-school death metal tone and style, summoning a monstrous symphony of euphoric terror. You like blast beats, bro? Well, Necrotted will satisfy your needs for years to come. The speed these guys are able to play at is simply impressive, and nothing less than deity-level musicianship. If you listen closely and listen to each individual track, your brain will be on stimulant overload from the sheer amount of the extreme setting Necrotted subjects you to.

With the release of Worldwide Warfare, the standard of death metal/deathcore has been raised significantly. Compare your favorite breakdown-driven, slammy band with this one album and tell me you still like them better. If that’s the case, you’re a filthy liar and should be purged.  So come with me on this trip through the shell-shocked war zone known as Worldwide Warfare. Order the album here.
