L7 Announce Tour and Slam ‘Capitalist Motherf–kers’ on ‘I Came Back To Bitch’
Punk-metal-noise-pop veterans and all around badasses L7 dropped their second track last month and announced tour dates after an 18-year hiatus.
The latest single, “I Came Back to Bitch” (link), will remind fans of the band’s raw 1988 debut, combining elements of punk, metal, noise, and pop. The first track, “Dispatch From Mar-a-Lago” (link), was released in September of last year, after signing with Don Giovanni Records. Hopefully this means there is a new album in the works.
In 2017 a documentary was released about the revolutionaries called L7: Pretend We’re Dead and received critical acclaim. The film chronicles the band’s career from their formation in Los Angeles in 1985 to their initial break-up in 2001. The film includes never-seen-before home movies, performance footage, and interviews with Shirley Manson (Garbage), Joan Jett, Lydia Lunch, and more.
We just want to say welcome back ladies! Make sure to check out the tour as it makes its way to a city near you soon (click here for tickets)!
