I’m old and angry. Loved by some, hated by more. I come from a military family(five generations deep), but also a family of artists. My parents are both musicians and writers, so naturally it runs in the blood. I began playing instruments in fifth grade, and knew immediately what I wanted to do with my life the moment I saw Skid Row open up for Guns N’ Roses in 1990.
At present count, I can play fifteen different instruments, and I doubt I’ll stop there(the hurdy-gurdy is on my list). After my tank driving days, I fronted the band 9mm SOLUTION, which toured extensively, and released two albums.
By day I yell at morons, but by night I don my cape and hide in my mancave, and continue to compose a rock opera of sorts, through a project I call The Toxic Dream. I’m writing a four- part series called King Of Kings, for which I’ve worked since 2012 and play every instrument. I’ve released one album(volume 1) in August of 2016, and am currently working on Volume 2.
Being the child of two writers, along with song writing, I have also written for Live4Metal, a music blog similar to Bloodrock, several years ago. I’m also a trained photographer, and have adapted my experience as a singer to my style behind the shutter. To date, I’ve shot bands such as Twelve Foot Ninja, Coal Chamber, Starset, The Birthday Massacre, Combichrist, American Head Charge, Filter, as well as hundreds of unsigned bands! I love it.
I have a degree in Psychology from UWM, and I also minored in Music Production and Creative Writing.
I’m one of the lucky ones; music is all I do. For you, the Bloodrock army, I will submit many things. Being a soldier, I will be blunt, but objective; funny, and insightful(at least I’ll try to be). People need to hear about music from people who are SERIOUS about music. I’ve been a music JUNKIE all my life, so I will do my best to convey my passion to you!
Hobbes favorite bands are Twelve Foot Ninja, The World Over, and Dragonforce
