It’s a Wednesday night in downtown Nashville, TN and I’m heading to Marathon Music Works to see one of my favorite bands- ALL THAT REMAINS! They have been touring a lot lately- so be sure to see them in a city near you!

The doors opened early and hundreds of fans came in, got a drink and claimed their spot on the floor. We were ready for the opening band called Elmyra. Those guys were thrilled to open for ATR. Elmyra is a metalcore band from Nashville, TN and they killed their set! The fans were jumping, moshing and banging their heads all throughout the set. The frontman, Stephen Loveland, blew them away with his screaming vocals and the music with his voice just meshed up
perfectly together.

Although I think we all wanted to hear more from Elmyra, it was now time for boys from Massachusetts to take the stage. The room went dark, next thing you know, you’re seeing the guys run to the stage and start rocking while all the fans are still screaming. They have such an incredible live performance. You can’t seam to tear your eyes from Oli, the lead guitarist, or Aaron, the bassist and of course Phil on vocals. I was busy taking pictures, running from stage left to stage right, trying to keep up with these guys while singing the tunes at the same time. We rocked out to all of our favorites from ATR, “Stand up”, “Two Weeks”, “The Waiting One” and even “What if I was Nothing.” We all wanted to hear more from them, but all good things must come to an end. Plus, we had one more band to listen to tonight.

Falling in Reverse was the headliner tonight and it was no surprise why. Tons of screaming girls awaited to see the band and hope to get noticed by the frontman, Ronnie Radke. They opened with “I’m not a vampire”, and the crowd was singing along throughout their set. I have to admit, their songs are very catchy and fun to sing along with. But, looking up on stage, it looked as if there was no interaction with the bandmates. They didn’t look like they were having fun. And i’m not sure who thought it would be a good idea, but playing “The drug in me is you” twice was NOT a good idea. Sorry guys. A couple other enjoyable songs FIR played was “hero,” and “Wolves”, I think Ronnie likes to scream, but then again, who wouldn’t want to scream? I think most of the people who came here tonight will not have voices tomorrow. All for the love of Rock & Roll.
